Calvary Baptist School, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, is a private K-12th grade school offering challenging educational programs in a safe and nurturing Christian environment. The purpose of Calvary Baptist School is to develop godliness of character and action in the lives of our students. We desire to be an extension of Christian homes and to reinforce the Biblical values taught at church and home. Our students are expected to demonstrate self-discipline, high morals, good habits, respect for students and staff, responsibility, and a love of God and country. One of our main goals is to help our students meet their potential for Jesus Christ in every area of their lives. The Bible, while not being the only textbook, will be taught and its principles will be the foundation for all learning. CBS provides an outstanding education in core subject areas (math, science, English, history, and computers), along with a wide variety of electives.
Calvary Baptist School began in September of 1968 with 118 students in grades kindergarten through sixth. Five years later, Calvary Baptist School offered classes to students in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade and graduated its first senior class.
Foundations Christian Preschool was founded in the fall of 2005 to meet the needs of our growing Calvary Baptist School families. The school has grown six fold since opening.
Since the fall of 2005, Calvary Baptist School and Foundations Christian Pre-School enrollment has more than doubled with graduates serving Christ throughout the world.

Our Core Values
Calvary Baptist School students receive a Christ-centered education focusing on their spiritual growth, emotional development, physical nurturing and academic training. The ultimate purpose of Calvary Baptist School is to glorify God and to teach and provide students with support and direction so they can do the same in all areas of their life. We achieve this by partnering with parents in our God-given task of Christian education.
Calvary Baptist School believes that this teamwork and the interdependence of the body of Christ that God designed, allows us the opportunity to bring together the staff, the parents and the church in our work with the students to create a robust and spiritually healthy educational experience. The ultimate purpose of Calvary Baptist School is to glorify God and to provide students with the necessary instruction, support, and direction to do the same in all areas of their lives. (See Deut. 6:4-7; Deut. 11:19-22; Eph. 6:4)
Biblical Approach to Learning
Calvary Baptist School’s biblical approach to learning incorporates a Christian worldview in all aspects of the curriculum and the educational experience. Our Christian faith is woven into every aspect of a student’s daily educational experience. It is our calling to teach our students that the God of the Bible is living, true and governs sovereignly over everything in existence. There is nothing outside of His handiwork and control. Calvary Baptist School foundationally believes that all truth is God’s truth. All knowledge points us to Christ who is the incarnation of God’s glory and His purpose.
Biblical & Critical Thinking
Calvary Baptist School desires our students to be well versed in a biblical worldview and intellectually developed. Calvary Baptist School students not only receive an academically superior Christian education, but they are fully equipped to be a positive Godly influence in the world. This influence is developed as we seek to build our student’s Christian hearts and minds to desire what is good, excellent, and of good report. They can easily think through and identify cultural deceptions as they seek the priorities that God has set for His glory. (See Phil. 4:8; 1 Cor. 15:10; 2 Tim. 2:1; Titus 2:11-15; Heb. 13:8).
Calvary Baptist School provides a Christ centered academically excellent and rigorous education for our students. The pursuit of this goal involves hard work on the part of teachers, parents and students collectively. Vigilance, accountability and progressive objective measures are required to meet this goal.
Calvary Baptist School cultivates unique learning experiences that ignite student curiosity and spark a joy of learning. God created great mysteries and wonders to be discovered throughout our lives. With so much more to learn and discover when a student’s formal educational experience ends, CBS teachers use creative methods of instruction to bring the learning process to life. These methods and tools are cultivated at Calvary Baptist School to be used in every moment and every event in life. (See Psa. 90:12; Deut. 4:9; 1 Cor. 14:40; Romans 15:4).
Stewardship & Service
Stewardship is the realization that all we have is the Lord’s. Our resources (time, talents, money, energy, etc.) are given to us by God to be used for His plan. As Christians we seek to realize how we can develop for God’s glory. This is the foundation of generosity and self-sacrifice. A stewardship mindset leads to a respectful use of school property and the property of others. (See Psalm 24:1; 1 Chron. 29:10-20; Romans 12:1)
All people are worthy of respect and should be valued and treated with dignity, as we are all made in His image. Sacrificial service for others frees us from the poverty of living for self. We are created for fellowship with God and others. We thrive when we are purposeful. Helping students develop selfless character and relational skills are essential for a Christ-like walk. (See 1 Cor. 13; 1 John 3:16-18; Acts 20:35)
Evangelism & Missions Awareness
God teaches us to care for all people, both believers and non-believers, as he does. We are convinced that the purpose of the church and the Christian life is to be living witnesses of God’s love. We are called to represent God as ambassadors. The best way to help children learn the importance of this value is to ensure the Calvary Baptist School staff and teachers provide a Godly model.
The deepest need of each and every person world-wide is a relationship with the living God through Jesus Christ. Calvary Baptist School provides numerous opportunities for students to better understand the needs of others, both physically and spiritually, at home and around the world and is committed to participating in efforts of assistance. (See Mt. 28:19; Acts 1:8; Rev. 5:9-10)
